My First Prediction

I'm about to make a prediction that will shake up the GOP primary and will guarantee a Donald Trump nomination.

Ted Cruz will be deemed not qualified under the Constitution to be President of the United States because he is clearly not a "natural born citizen."

Here's my argument: it is assumed that there can only two types of citizens; natural born or naturalized. Actually, there can be a third type which falls into a never-adjudicated gray area, which, for convenience I'll call a "natural" citizen.

The first two types of citizens are well-defined, and we all know the latter is barred from being president.

So what is a natural citizen? I define a natural citizen as someone who is born in another country to a US parent or parents who are not on official US business but reside abroad. Military brats, diplomats' kids, or children born on vacations are all natural born.

Many individuals who fall into this category never lay claim to their US citizenship, preferring the country of their birth. More than a few Canadians will tell you they have an American relative somewhere in their lineage.

Indeed, this could have been Ted Cruz's life story under different circumstances.

The Founding Fathers were wary of so-called "Americans"  born and raised overseas then showing up one day with their seditious ways, trying to wheedle their way into the country's most powerful office. That was such a frightening scenario, the phrase "natural born citizen" was given quite a bit of consideration before its enshrinement in the Constitution.

We can all agree that it's not physically possible to be the "natural born" citizen of more than one country, and it's clear where Ted Cruz was born--in Calgary, Canada. He's not denying it.

We're left with one conclusion: Ted Cruz is not a natural born citizen of the United States of America and cannot by law be its president.

  1. And it tickles me. Of course, his mindset will not allow to him to see the correlation between what he has been saying of Obama for years. Or that Karma does come around.
