Comey Could Stir Up Dem Voters

Just a week to go, Friends,

James Comey seems to be a smart man. He's reputed to have impeccable integrity. If that's the case, then what in the hell could he have been thinking?

With slightly more than a week before the election, the FBI director dropped a bombshell on Hillary Clinton and gave Donald Trump the ammunition he needed to revive his flagging campaign.

In a letter to the congressional committee investigating Mrs. Clinton, Comey implied that there had been new information found in the Clinton private server investigation, and that the FBI would have to sort through it. That wasn't likely to be completed before Election Day.

Wow.

All of a sudden, at least some of the opinion polls have shifted in Trump's favor. This morning, the ABC News/Wall Street Journal tracking poll has him ahead by a point.

It sucks to be me this morning. I was just trying to do the right thing, and now I've
caused an absolute sh*tstorm. Maybe the clouds have a silver lining.
Comey had to know that by implying there was new evidence against Hillary Clinton, he would directly impact the presidential election.

He'd already declined to confirm Russian hacking of Democrats or an FBI preliminary inquiry into Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort's Russian connections for that same reason.

Though it appears that Comey (an Obama appointee but registered Republican), and his curious decision is favoring Trump, there may be a different dynamic at work...an ironic one.

It's been a nagging fact that a huge enthusiasm gap exists between Trump's supporters and Hillary's. I personally cast a very reluctant vote for her on the first day of early voting here in Nevada.

If there were any other genuine option to voting for neo-fascist Trump, I would have taken it. There wasn't.

Between rancid raw liver and dog food, I chose dog food.

But Comey's decision to revive Hillary's latent email debacle may be just the thing that riles up Clinton voters enough to get them to the polls. They're  horrified about Trump's new signs of life.

He's been demagoguing the FBI announcement and whipping up his followers since Comey's statement was released to Congress on Friday.

But there is no evidence that any of the 650,000 emails on congressional sexter Anthony Wiener's confiscated laptop are anything new or contain some dark secret that would incriminate Hillary.

Hillary's trusted chief aide, Wiener's estranged wife Huma Abedin, claims she has no idea how her emails even got on that computer. I speculate her Yahoo email password was probably known to her husband, and he was trolling her. This would make Abedin's claim completely plausible.

Trump now has all the ammunition he needs to drag this race down to the bottom.

Hopefully, this 'much ado about nothing' will stir voters to hand the worse of the worst two candidates to ever run for President the drubbing he's got coming to him.
